When you mix and match these dinner themes, you can quickly and easily come up with a weekly or even monthly meal plan that never gets boring.

Here’s my favorite theme night dinners to help you with dinner menu planning!

1 – Seafood dinner night – pick your favorite seafood from fish to shrimp, or experiment with different types of seafood you’ve never tried or rarely eat like this crawfish etouffee.

2 – Homemade Pizza dinner night – great for Friday or Saturday nights, have fun making pizza with the kids. You can stick to family favorite toppings or experiment with new topping combinations. Whatever you choose this is bound to be a family favorite dinner night you’ll want to repeat.

3 – Pasta Night – pasta night is always an easy favorite.

4- Sheet Pan Dinner Night – is great for easy meals during the cooler months. Pop veggies and meat on to one pan, season and bake. The combos are really endless.

5- Italian Dinner Night – go beyond spaghetti and pasta and try some Italian dinners that highlight the diverse cuisine of Italy.

6- Mexican Dinner Night – Mexican food is so much more that just tacos. Try this easy tamale casserole or these authentic Mexican crockpot meals for some new ideas.

7 – Southern Dinner Night – go Southern and you may never go back, lol. There are so many classic Southern dishes to try from red beans and rice to Gumbo to fried chicken….

8 – Asian Dinner Night – you can go nuts with this one too! You will never need to order takeout again once you learn to cook homemade Asian food.

9 – Copy Cat Dinner Night – another option rather than eating out is to pick you a meal from your favorite restaurant and recreate it at home. Let everybody take a turn picking their favorite!

10 – Casserole Dinner Night – nothing says cozy home cooked meal like a casserole. Try one of these healthy casseroles with real food ingredients and no canned soups – real crowd pleasers!

11- Soup & Salad Dinner Night – when the weather is chilly, soup is the best easy dinner. Pair it with a salad for a complete healthy meal. These fall soup recipes are great and so are these healthy crockpot soups.

12- Indian Food Night – start with an easy chicken curry and expand your horizons beyond there! Indian food is so good.

13 – Bowl Dinner Night – everyone loves a customizable bowl dinner! Pick several veggies, a protein and a grain plus some sauce options and allow everyone to build there own bowl. It’s fun and even picky eaters will find something they like.

14 – Appetizer Dinner Night – Tapas, appetizer, apps – whatever you want to call them can be a great dinner on the weekends or when you don’t feeling cooking. These crockpot appetizers and cold dip recipes are favorites at my house. Make 1 or 2 or more, create a spread and turn on a movie, game or music to make it extra fun.

15 – Breakfast for Dinner Night – So easy and always a hit, try some of your favorite breakfasts for dinner. Big breakfasts that you never have time for in the morning can be fun like pancakes, waffles or French toast. Toss on some turkey bacon or breakfast sausages and you’re all set for a crowd pleasing meal.

16 – Comfort Food Dinner Night – this is a favorite on Fall and Winter evenings! Comfort food can be different things to different people so explore with your family what they really find comforting. For my family this sweet and spicy meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy always hits the spot!

17 – Sandwich Night – go simple or fancy with this one and everyone is sure to be pleased. Everything from grilled cheese to chicken sandwiches to simple BLTs are favorites at our house.

18 – Mediterranean Night – Mediterranean cuisine is quickly becoming a popular among those looking to eat healthier. The best part is these meals are fresh, light and full of flavor.

19 – Loaded Potato Night – a favorite cheap meal option and great when you have leftover protein! Just heat leftover meat, add cheese sour cream and some sautéed veggies and let everyone choose their potato toppings.

20 – BBQ Night – pick a protein and add BBQ sauce. Pick your cooking method – the grill, oven or even crockpot and then serve with some mac and cheese and some greens and you have a satisfying meal everyone will wolf down.

21 – Instant Pot Night – dinners in the instant pot come together quickly, plus there are tons of options to try.
