It’s a pretty easy process, though there are a few caveats to the claiming your box that are not really apparent. So I will share with you exactly what you need to do below.
You do have to jump through a few hoops…i.e. sign up for a couple of things and complete a few steps. But really, I think it’s worth it! The Amazon Baby Welcome Box is totally worth it! And I say this as a person who normally doesn’t bother with “free stuff” because its not worth the time and energy.
The reason I think this baby box is worth it is two fold:
- The welcome baby box contains really nice, high quality baby items – the swaddle and onesie included are similar to ones you’d find at a boutique.
- The samples included in the baby box are from popular brands like Huggies, Dr. Browns and Honest Baby.

What’s in Amazon Baby Welcome Box?
There are some really awesome samples and full sized products included in the Amazon Baby Box. Remember each box contains different items! But doing the research it seems that they all contain some combination of diaper samples, wipes, a bottle, a onesie, sample of breast pads and a large (high quality) swaddle blanket.
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of items in the box and the quality. These are NOT some cheap samples from random companies. Or a bunch of useless products (junk) you will never use. Though there are a few smaller product samples included.
It was nice to try out the diapers and wipes from brands I hadn’t considered and I ended up really liking both. I also really like the sample of baby wash.
But I have to say, the onesie and the swaddle are my absolute favorite baby items included in the box! The onesie is organic and super soft. The swaddle is huge and really nice material. Plus it seems to get softer every time I wash it. Both items would be appropriate for a girl or boy baby.

It’s a pretty easy 4 step process to claiming your free welcome baby registry box.
- Sign up for a Prime Membership, if you aren’t already a member you can get a free 30 day trail HERE.
- Sign up for a baby registry on Amazon HERE. Click here —>> If you’d like step by step instructions on how to set it up.
- Complete the provided Baby Registry checklist. It includes items in every category. Even if you don’t need the item in a given category, make sure to add one anyway to complete the checklist (this is the ONLY way to get the completion credit).
- Complete a $10 purchase from your registry. If someone purchases an item from your registry OR you purchase an item, you get credit for completion.
Once all the steps are complete it will show you as eligible for the Baby Welcome Box within your Baby Registry Dashboard.
Is the Amazon Welcome Baby Box free?
YES! As long as you complete the steps above.
You will need to add the Welcome Box to check out and complete it just like a normal purchase. Make sure to confirm your shipping info.
One thing to note – It will show $35 as the cost, but in the final step it will show the $35 credit for the Welcome Box. So don’t worry if you see a charge there initially. This confused me and I ended up searching Google to make sure I was not going to be charged.
It will be discounted and shipped to you for FREE as long as you completed all the steps above.
